Austrian citizenship test practice for Android
Practise for the citizenship test the way it really runs.
The test has 18 questions: 6 on democracy, 6 on the history of Austria and 6 on the history of your federal state. Each has four answers, and one to three of them are right. Alpen Pass trains exactly that, for all 9 states, and every question shows the official booklet and page it comes from.
Free: every study chapter, the guide to the procedure, the word list and 30 practice questions. Pro: 19.99 EUR once, the same price in every country. Offline, no account, no ads.
Alpen Pass does not represent any government entity. It has no link to the Federal Ministry of the Interior (BMI), to any state government, to MA 35 or to the ÖIF, and it does not register you for the test. It issues no certificate. The questions are our own practice questions, written from the official sources; they are not the questions of the real test.

Everything for the test, in one app
Study first, then practise, then sit a mock exam scored the way the authority scores yours.
Every question shows its source
Before you answer, each question names its official booklet and page, and a state question notes which of the booklet's own numbered questions it covers. All questions are our own wording, written from the booklets.
The real format
Four answers with tick boxes, one to three of them right. Check scores it like the test: part of the point for some right ticks, 0 for any wrong tick. Then why, with the source.
Mock exam
18 questions, 6 per area, no help and no answers until you hand in. Scored by § 3 and § 5 of the exam regulation: passed with half the points in every area or two thirds overall. A result per area, then your mistakes to review.
A 2 hour clock, if you want it
Turn on the clock in Settings and the mock exam runs for 2 hours, as on the real date, then hands itself in.
Your language under the German
The test is in German, so every question and answer stays German, with a help line in your language under each. Menus, study chapters and explanations come fully in your language.
Study chapters
Short summaries in our own words of each chapter of the official booklets, with the pages and a key to the official PDF. Read them in your language or in German.
Path to citizenship
Deadlines, conditions, German and the test, income, the procedure, documents and fees, in ten short chapters checked against the Citizenship Act. Only the law and your authority are binding.
Word list
186 hard terms from offices, the state, history and the test, each explained in simple words, with a search.
Planned repetition
Weak questions come back more often, paced to your test date when you set one. A question counts as sure once you get it right three times in a row.
Ready for the test
One ring shows how much of your three areas you know for sure, names your weakest area and counts the days to your test.
All 9 federal states
Pick your state once; the third part of every practice round and mock exam is its history. You can change it at any time. On top of these come 191 questions on democracy and 178 on the history of Austria.

Questions
Is this the official test app?
No. Alpen Pass is an independent study aid by Marko Zanoski. It does not represent any government entity, has no link to the BMI, any state government, MA 35 or the ÖIF, and cannot register you for the test. Your state government sets your test date.
Are these the real test questions?
No. Every question in Alpen Pass is our own, written from the official study booklets in the format of the test, and names the booklet and page so you can check it. Most state booklets list possible questions without answers; a state question in the app notes which of them it covers.
Is the mock exam scored like the real one?
Yes, by § 3 and § 5 of the exam regulation: one point a question, part of the point when only some right answers are ticked, 0 for any wrong tick, and passed with half the points in every area or two thirds of all points (12 of 18). It shows where you stand; it is not the real test and gives no guarantee.
Which languages are there?
German, Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian, Turkish, Arabic, Dari, Albanian, Russian and English. The questions stay in German, as in the test, with a line in your language under each.
What is free and what is Pro?
Every study chapter, the guide to the procedure, the word list and 30 questions are free. Pro, 19.99 EUR once, adds every question, the mock exam, planned repetition and the mistakes list.
Does it work without internet?
Always. It has no internet permission. Only buying Pro goes through the Google Play app on your phone, and the links to the official PDFs open in your browser.
A question or answer is wrong. Where do I tell you?
On the report page of the user guide, or by email to support@zanoski.com. Say which state, the German question and the source line under it.
